Meeting topics - what should we discuss next?

I asked everyone at our August meeting to suggest topics for future events. These are now listed on our meetup page. Please vote for those that interest you - or suggest some new ones!

The Open Rights Group have sprung for a MeetUp account for the Sheffield branch - which is rather spiffing of them! MeetUp lets people suggest ideas for get-togethers and others can vote for the ones they like by RSVPing to them. I like this as a mechanism of deciding topics collectively because I often struggle to think of something interesting that people want to talk about!

If you were at our August meeting you may remember the survey I passed around. One of the questions was "what topics would you like to discuss next?" There were some great answers from the collective so I've now added these as suggestions for future meetings on MeetUp. Please take a look, and if any of them are of interest to you, hit the RSVP button. The ones that get the most votes will become the main topics for future meetings. I'll also try to line up appropriate expert speakers on particular topics if that's possible.

If you don't want to use MeetUp you can drop an email to the ORG-Sheffield mailing list instead and I'll make sure your votes are counted.

If you have any ideas for our October MeetUp then you can add them in the comments here too and I'll see what I can do...
